Ok, let's try this again (side note, it really is a PITA to start a new thread and get it in the right place if you can't use the "quick post" option)
Aaron at his 18mo check up with Daddy's hat:
Getting his teeth brushed and looking super cute in his pajamas:
With some spikey hair:
He was so proud of himself, getting to sit in the regular chair like everyone else:
Coming down the sidewalk in his super cute football sweater (which doesn't even fit anymore):
Aaron enjoying a cookie at Market Day:
Spending some time with Pap:
Something he likes to do lately is "play Xbox" with Daddy. His controller is from an old PS system and there aren't batteries in it, but he gets up on the couch, presses the buttons, and mimics whatever Dad does. It's adorable:
Hannah's soccer coach got everyone trophies last year. I don't love the everyone-gets-an-award-for-showing-up idea, but she really liked it and I didn't want to spoil it:
This Summer she learned to ride her bike w/o training wheels:
After that she wanted to go down the slide with Aaron:
She's in 4th grade this year! This was her on the 1st day:
She put on a puppet show for us:
This summer we got passes for Hershey Park. This is Chocolate World, it's right outside the park. We stop in every time to do the "Factory Tour" which is a ride through how they make the chocolate. At the end you get a free piece of candy.:
(Side note, this picture was from June, since then Chad has lost 55lbs and I've lost 30!)
Aaron was actually big enough to ride some rides. He wasn't so sure about them at first, but it didn't take long till he was a pro!:
I swear I rode some rides, but no one else wants to take pictures, lol:
Hannah liked meeting the "characters":
Included in the park ticket is admission to Zoo America. Turns out Hannah is about the height of a black bear:
At the very beginning of the school year we went to visit some family down south. While there we took a day and went to New Orleans. Got some Beignets at Cafe Du Monde:
And went to a Saints pre-season game. They played the Ravens, which was amusing since that's one of our local teams. Chad was awesome enough to get me Drew Brees' signature:
This year Hannah actually picked a costume *before* the week of Halloween. This is huge since usually she waits till the last minute and we're at the store 2 days before the costume is needed and she's picking from the limited choices of what's there in her size that doesn't need 500 accessories to make it actually look like what she's supposed to be. (I feel like there might be rant in there, but we won't dig too deep ) Any way she wanted to be Elsa from Frozen. Of course most of those costumes are made for girls 6 and under, apparently. Not only is Hannah 9, she's a very tall 9, so that was a fun challenge, thank you eBay!!) Getting side tracked here... so... we thought it would be cute to have the kid's be a theme with their costumes, so Aaron was Olaf:
(Wow the lighting in our living room results in really poor quality pictures )
Hannah wanted to do a Corn Maze this year, so we did. It was kind of fun and while we apparently didn't go the "correct" way, we did actually come out at the end, which is more than some others who came back out at the front instead. If you came out the end there was a couple big slides to play on which was fun.:
The passes for Hershey included their Halloween activities, Hershey Park in the Dark. Which was neat. Everything was decorated and they even changed the names of rides (Fahrenheit became FEARenheit, etc). They also had a little area set up for the kids to Trick or Treat:
We went back again for my Birthday and it was done up as Christmas Candy Lane. After the last time of it being so cold, we didn't want to have Aaron out that much so he stayed with Grammy and just Hannah came along. There was a place to meet Santa so I wished Aaron would have been there, but over all this was a better choice:
Even though Aaron didn't get to see Santa there, he did get a chance the next weekend at a craft show. Since Chad and I have been together it has become my goal get pictures with Santa w/o having to buy them, so far I've succeeded every year:
Which brings us up to Aaron's Birthday. Holy cow, he's 2! 2!! How is that even possible?
"Let's get his party started!!":
Grubbing on some cake:
Hannah:
"Dis my new truck" Seriously, this boy is all about his cars and trucks.
And since this is iDog, it wouldn't be complete with out some shots of the 4-legged family, here's a series of pics of Dusty falling asleep but trying not to fall over.
They have taken the phrase "you are what you eat" to its literal conclusion. Dusty used to have bed that she got from Aunt Callie as a Secret Santa gift. Over time Co-Co chewed it up. Now Dusty lays on Co-Co. Co-Co seems to have accepted this and it doesn't faze her. They crack me up.
