Famous dogs leading to an increase in the breed.
Posted to:

How much of an influence do famous dogs have on people deciding what breed to choose? We all remember the Dalmatian trend leading to an increasing in Dalmatian puppies. The Lassie dogs, leading to people to run out to buy the perfect companion dog without knowing much about the breed. Beethoven, how...

Any advice on helping my 4-month old male GSD w/ itchy skin? We've had him for about 6 weeks now, and as far as we can remember, he has always been itchy. We went to the vet, and she said it was dry skin (no fleas, no bugs, etc) She gave us vitamins (big capsule - fish oil and other vitamins, can't...

Anyone care to throw out the pros and cons here? I know that the skin testing is more thourogh but do you think the blood test is effective or am I just going to throw away the money? The veet tech made the comment that if your dog is not allergic enough, the tests could come back negative. Guinness...

Recently I've been thinking about how to get Gingerbread to eat more (he's never liked kibble) and I realized that a processed, dried, cereal type of food can't possibly be what's BEST for any dog. Just to preface, I went the "tough love" route with Gingerbread and he ate strictly...

Hi, Has anyone had this happen to one of their dogs? I never even heard of it before until today. My friend just told me this past weekend her dog quickly died from bloat, her husband came home to find the dog dead. The dog was only 18 months old, a boxer, and it was her baby. She completely adored...
