anything effective for ticks?

Lyme Disease has become more prevalent around here the past couple of years and I think ticks are going to be tough to spot on Molly. We do a bit of hiking/walking. They were easy to spot on Sadie - we usually spotted them on her white coat before they even got near her skin. I won't use Advantix...
