Fighting??

Just today I've had a little problem with my dog Cassidy. She's always been great, obedient, and submissive ( though sometimes dominant toward other dogs, it depends on the dog, really) to us. So anyway, today she was sitting in the van, we were getting out, and it seemed that she 'attacked'...

Creative vegetable hiding ideas...

My stepdaughter will be here in a week and a half. Every time she has come to visit it has been for a week at a time...this time it will be for a month. I am so excited to have her here and the only thing I really dread is dinner time. In the past, we have always made her eat a bite or two of vegetable...

What is going ON in this state??
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Lordy! The temp is 104 (at noon) and the humidity is 65% - usually it's more like 10 to 15%. I just saw on the news a major thunderstorm w/high winds ripping through LA. It was pouring! They sent their little ball of "monsoon moisture" up our way - maybe they'll send up the rain. We...

Your breeds most common names

Keep hearing the same names in your breed? Again and again and again...? Just curious what you hear over and over again in your breed... So not scientific evidence, just personal opinion/experience. Common Male Dobe names: 1 - Kaiser (German breed/German name) 2 - Zeus or Apollo (I think Magnum...

constantly wants belly rubbed
Posted to:

My year-old chi, Winnie, has becoming really annoying about this. If my husband or I invite her to sit on the couch, she jumps up and flops over to have her belly rubbed. And if we don't rub it, she whines and noses at us. If I invite her to sit on my lap, she wants to tuck herself back into...

Update on Max!!

I posted a while back that my fiance's dog was completely ignoring me and treating me like he was more dominant than me. Well, I've been working with him and now he completely listens to me (except while on walks, we're still working on that[ ]). He now comes when I call him, he stops...

I've got a dog that needs to be transported from Georgia to Maine and need to know how much time to allow for drivers to sign up. Would two weeks be enough or should I set the date a month from now? Any suggestions welcome.

I finally made Zoe a dress/harness so it is useful, not just cute! This has the d-ring in the front like an easywalk harness and it works really well. I liked the easywalk harness but it rubbed Zoe so now I don't have to worry about that! Soon she will have a bandanna to match the dress! In...

Anyone going to the AKC invitational? The qualifying period for the agility (and obedience) dogs has closed and results have been posted. My brindlewonderkid has once again landed in the top 5 for his breed, but this year it means he'll get an invitation to "the" invitational. I think we'll...

I need some help. Both my dogs are now a year old. The bigger one, Hershey, when he was a little pup used to steal sneakers, slippers, and flip flops. But he doesn't do it any more. Both pups are good except for the fact that Hershey is always stealing my 6 year old daughters Barbies and their clothes...
