    how cute is she?!?

I finally made Zoe a dress/harness so it is useful, not just cute!  This has the d-ring in the front like an easywalk harness and it works really well.  I liked the easywalk harness but it rubbed Zoe so now I don't have to worry about that!  Soon she will have a bandanna to match the dress!

In this one you can see the d-ring

I'd like to make the skirt part poofy but I am not sure how to pinch the fabric and sew it correctly yet.  Remember, I am a newbie to sewing (less than a month!)

awww, she looks adorable! My dogs aren't a fan of clothing. Kero, male peach dog will wear caps every now and then. But Zoe looks cute! [;)]

you've got to be kidding me! that not only is just adorable but it's ingenious. I love the easy walk but can't use it on Trixie because it gets tangled in her hair, I was thinking of putting felt around it, but will still catch I think. That is terrfic, Trixie is jealous, cause Debbie can't sew a button.

Too cute!! Considering you are new to sewing, you have done an amazing job.  I have no sewing skills what so ever!! I am impressed.

I'm impressed, too. [:)] And I really think there would be a market for these if you were to decide to sell them.

Here's a hint.  Put the stitch selector size @ the largest stitch.  Sew one row along the top edge of the skirt to be.  Then sew another row just under the first row.  Make sure you have enough thread on one edge of the fabric (from the 2 rows you've just sewn) so that you can tie them together in a knot.  Take the loose threads from the other edge & pull.  Be careful not to break the threads.  If you do this right, you'll have "gathered" a nice little ruffle.  One you have the ruffle you like, change the stitch size back to normal sewing size stitches & sew over the stitches that you've used to gather.  Doing that will stabilize your ruffle so you don't have gaps in the ruffle.  I hope that makes sense.

Good luck & GREAT idea about practicing on a scrap first.  I promise if you master that, there will be no holding you back!!!  your stuff looks amazing.  I'm so impressed.  I've been sewing for years & my stuff doesn't look half as good as yours does.
