    Fighting??

Just today I've had a little problem with my dog Cassidy. She's always been great, obedient, and submissive ( though sometimes dominant toward other dogs, it depends on the dog, really) to us. So anyway, today she was sitting in the van, we were getting out, and it seemed that she 'attacked' another dog we have, Sparky. I wasn't watching at the moment, so don't know whose fault it was, or what really happened, but they were snarling and all of that. Neither of them were hurt, and I know dogs have dominance scuffles and things like that, but this is something that she'd never really done before. Later in the day, she did the same thing ( not sure who started it again) and I yanked on her tail to get her away[8|] Anyway, she did and they were fine. I had let her in the car because we were leaving , and had left the door open and ran insde to get something, then heard the noise and those two were at it again. So I'm not sure if it has something to do with the vehicles? Maybe she wants to be the only dog in there? I'm not sure, because we have another puppy, Mirelle, that comes in the car all the time with her, and they have no problems. Cassidy used the same 'voice' when they were 'fighting' that she has started to use with Mirelle, when they're playing and stuff. Anyway, I'm not real convinced this is a serious thing, but should this be something to be concerned about? I'd imagine if Cassidy wanted to hurt the  other dog, she really could have, but didn't. My family is kind of thing that Cassidy's acting vicious and crazy, though......[8|] This other dog, Sparky, acts like a dominant one, it's kind of like she will never submit to another dog even though she's always on the bottom ( she's not very big and has some physical problems, too) when she got up she acted like she'd 'won', not at all like she'd been beaten. I was thinking maybe Cassidy is just trying to get her to submit to her, but this is something she hasn't done before. I was also wondering if this had anything to do with how she was acting  yesterday. I thought she was sick or something, because she kind of laid around the whole day, and it seemed hard for her to walk, even though she wasn't limping on any of her feet. She also wouldn't play fetch or run ( and when she doesn't do that, I KNOW something is wrong!) lol, and I hadn't seen her go potty until later in the day, about 7pm or so. Then she was running around in the woods, and stuff, and acted better. Then she was normal again. Didn't take her to the vet because it didn't last more than one day. Kinda worried me, but I think she is better now...[:-] So I don't know if that would be related or not. Whew! Sorry for the long post, just thought I'd give as much information as possible, so everyone knew what was going on [:)] They're both females, and fixed. Cassidy is 3 and Sparky is about 6.

Dogs that are just having a little tiff usually make lotsa noise, and no blood is drawn.
