Training in a different language...
Posted to: Training & Behavior
I'm thinking ahead to my Maremma, whenever it might arrive, and how to handle training with it. Training a Maremma will require a different technique than Ben did, and there will be certain commands that the Maremma will need that Ben did/does not. I'm considering training some "special"...

Good thoughts for So. CA members (Joyce)

Apparently another huge fire broke out last night, in addition to the one burning in Santa Barbara. They have sustained winds of 20 - 40 mph and gusts up to 70 mph so it's going to be a doozy to get put out. This one is only about 20 miles north of downtown Los Angeles and is threatening the power...

I went grocery shopping and was gonna pick up some cottage cheese for the dogs but started looking at the yogurt. I noticed there was big differences in the 2. Which one is better? Can I feed more than a spoonful or is a spoonful enough?

Ok, so I haven't been on the forum much lately due to my job situation (lack of one, actually and spending all my time trying to find one!) but I did have an amazing opportunity last weekend that I just had to share. I've been riding for 20 years, and did some hunter paces, but never really got...

What does bonded/insured mean for dog walkers?
Posted to: News & Entertainment
My dog walker is through an agency that is bonded & insured. I've used them for over a year with the same walker. Now my walker is saying she would charge me less if I just went with her, excluding the agency. Since she's not bonded & insured what does this mean for me & my dog...
