It's been about a year since I lost my Shire horse to cancer, and I'm finally ready to buy another. I've found a couple that I think I may be extremely interested in, I'll know more once I contact the breeders further. Starcastle Charm Gentle Giant Shyne They are absolutely...

First of all I don't know which of my two is the alpha, I must be really dense or they are. Anyyyhoo. Know that these two have never growled, snapped or snarled at each other. They are not in love w/ each other in that they never lay together or play together. but they do miss each other if the other...

Funny behavior, not a problem, just weird
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My dog does something strange when she's on the couch, it's not a behavioral problem, just funny and weird and I wonder why she does it... basically, when she's laying on the couch with us, quietly resting, or maybe chewing on her bone or a toy, she will at random start rolling on her back...

Question about Feeding at Thanksgiving
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Hi all [ ] I did a search on the forum to find out if it's a good idea to feed turkey and I found some very helpful information about it. However, my 5 month old Shih Tzu right now keeps his curious little nose out of my food when I'm eating. He sniffs at it briefly but then lays down. I'm...

Howdy. I've lurked a bit lately but just not posted. Here's my question. Does anyone do their own shots? My dogs are due, and there's a clinic close by that charges "a la carte" for services, making things MUCH cheaper. I can pay $25 for an exam or $25 for the heartworm test, do...

Choosing A Dog
