Strange Behavior on Walk
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Every morning, I go walking with a friend. We live a few miles apart, so one always drives to the other ones house. My lab always goes, she doesn't need a leash, and we usually bring a couple other dogs on the leash. Today, I went to my friends house. I brought Dixie, my lab, and Wimpy, one of our...

HI, i'm new. I have a golden retriever and he chews up EVERYTHING. So for my semester long project, I am creating the ultra comfortable but yet super durable dog bed. I need good insight from great dog owners to take my survey. It would only take a few minutes. https://websurveyor.net/wsb.dll...

Letting my Whippet off-leash one day?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi all, new member here...I have a whippet pup who I plan to train independently as well as via puppy kindergarten when he's had his appropriate shots. I have seen dozens of whippets play at the dog park off-leash and this park is huge with plenty of forested area. It is NOT fenced in. The whippets...

Dog goes after city bus
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Our six month old puppy likes to try and chase city buses and UPS trucks when we are on our walks. We always keep him on a leash when we take him outside but I'm afraid that if for some reason he got loose that he'd take off after one. Lately I've been taking treats along with us on our...

Hello. recently we rescued a 5 year old shitzu. Her owner had died, she was alone in a house for about 3 weeks with a cat. She was in bad shape and dehydrated with some eye damage (which is healing up with daily drops), and had to go on an IV for a while. This was about four months ago, and she ended...

I FINALLY DID IT. I REALLY DID. I GAVE MY 3 GOLDENS SOME RAW MEAT TONIGHT. I felt like some fried chicken gizzards, cream gravey and tossed salad for supper tonight. The babies had chicken stew the past two night and tonight was fish night. I could freeze the remaing gizzards for later on, but I...
