I agree--Verizon is tops!
I want to be able to understand people. I do my very best to listen carefully. I grew up with Vietnamese kids and my current MD is (I believe) Vietnamese. I speak Spanish pretty much every day, so I am well-versed in accents. I can understand almost anyone who speaks English with a variety of accents andI am always polite to the folks on the other end of the phone.
HOWEVER, I hate, hate hate when the rep can't or won't help me. I had a Daimler Chrysler person who essentially told me that since a part on my car was FOUR DAYS out of warranty they wouldn't cover it or even make an adjustment for me. The lady had the nerve to say, "Have a nice day!" when I got off the phone! [
