Shadow, the model
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Another post about being at the Petco, today. A lady took a pic of Shadow, because of his amazing eyes. Then, I had him sit and she took another one. I have no idea where those will wind up. Poor Shadow has to bear the burden of being a pretty boy.

Faking Injuries?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My aunt's Australian Shepherd is a tricky little girl. She's about 3 years old and has taken to faking injuries. When she decides she isn't getting the attention she wants, she'll lift one paw & hop around on the other three legs like she's been hurt. She has the most pitiful...

Now, both TO and Innova are grain free, right? Both I know are excellent foods. However, TO seems to be priced very high in comparison to Innova. Comments? Explanation?

Newt had his eye entropion surgery on Friday and now he has to wear an e collar for 10 days. Its only been a day and half and this cone has caused so much disruption. As you can see from the pictures the cone has taken quite a beating and Marvin is now using it to play tug-a-war. Newt has found he has...

I recently updated my browser and lost ALL of my saved bookmarks, including all the great links members have contributed here on: reading dog food labels, comparing different dog food brands, and other such info on nutrition and making an educated choice on dog food. I am recently in a healthy argument...

Hello: I need some advice! I have two dogs, a Border Collie who is 5 years old and a Pit Mix who is about 2 1/2. The pit is really my son's dog and he lives with me but travels a lot.(my son, not the dog!) The dog came from someone who couldn't keep him and I suspect it's because they...

Jail break!!

Tar, our foster dog, has always been crated when we're gone, and he's never had a problem with that, even though Brown and Grey aren't crated. So today started off like any normal day, with me crating Tar just before I left for work. He got in, plopped down, and got ready for a nap. When...

Gina Sighting?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I was up at Petco in Sherman. We were leaving, walking through the parking lot and stopped for a lady to walk past in front of us (chivalry is in our breed). The lady sure looked a lot like Gina but I thought, nah, what would she be doing over here?

Scammer looking for "bait" dogs -- CROSS POST WIDELY
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
This is being widely circulated. It is to be taken very seriously. We can never be too careful when adopting out animals or even placing them in foster. We need to be extremely careful with our hard to place or long time foster dogs that may be seen as more accessible. Feel free to forward this...Thanks...

This happened last summer and for some reason I'm telling you about it 6 months later. I was at my friend's house, and my mom was packing boxes as we were getting ready to move (down the street). The window was open, and there must have been a dog or rabbit across the street. Keep in mind...
