Why can't my dogs eat higher protein amounts??
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Ok, Luvntzus just posted an article from the petcenter which was very good. And, I just read in the Whole Dog Journal that dogs can do well in the 30% and above ranges - up to 45% (that is too high, in my opinon) before damage can occur. The WDJ says that higher protein doesn't hurt kidneys and...

How to deal with an overstimulated dog?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hercules is 8 months old (and neutered) and just recently seems to occasionally get over stimulated. When this happens he will bark, jump and bite (he hasn't bitten since he was 2-3 months old). I have completetly ignored him when he starts this or givin him a time out. I think this is working because...

Well, my Chi/terrier mix Eros got in a really bad squabble about a week ago with my moms kitten Bug. She's about 5 months old, and she came from an alley behind her house in chicago. Eros is about the size of a rat terrier, the kitten of a rat. He bit down on her neck really hard, and broke it and...

Help With Training Treats
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I'm using Nature's recipe training treats for training Tasha but they contain a lot of sugar. Looking at other treats I see that all of them are loaded with sugar. Are there any healthier treats out there? They need to be soft and small.

Need big time MATH expert help

Meat past its prime: OK for dog?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I purchased a steak today that is partially spoiled. On one side of it, the meat is a brown/grey color, and it has a mildly off odor. I called the store and complained about it (I bought it *today*, and it was folded up so you couldn't see the brown parts -- totally unacceptible), but I lost...
