Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Does anyone use a treadmill to exercise their dogs when they are unable to get them out on walks? I'm not talking about a dog specific treadmill, but a motorized human treadmill. I got a new treadmill for Christmas and with wintertime here, Ella is not wanting to go on long walks and I want her...

Has anyone tried the Honest Kitchen line of dehydrated foods? I am wondering because I have been homecooking for Jetta for almost two months and she is doing great. But, I worry about whether or not I am giving her everything she needs. I supplement with calcium, oil, etc, but I still don't really...

People who have a Dog Park to go to
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Wow - How lucky you guys are. I sure wish we had a dog park here. I`d have to drive at least 3hrs and maybe still not find one. We have a park for people (no fence) and nobody uses it. What a waste. Spay/Neuter Pets Animal Abuse Feral Cats

Labels and Dogs
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Dominant. Submissive. Fearful. Shy. Aggressive. Phobic. Anxious. We humans have placed a lot of labels on dogs. Are we really helping dogs by doing this, or is it really as Karen Pryor suggests? She says that behavior is only behavior, and if we concentrate on shaping or modifying a dog's behavior...

Foster dog (golden) has sores under his chin. I have been cleaning them with peroxide, but not using antibacterial cream because he constantly scratches his chin on my carpet. Today he was bleeding quite a bit from the sores, so I bought an e-collar so I could clean it, put cream on it and keep him from...

Turning in circles on the bed
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Both my dogs turn in circles before they lay down on the couch or on their beds. My German shepherd mix will turn around in circles at least a dozen times, poking the bed with her nose and making strange grunting noises [sm=lol.gif] Does anyone else have a dog that does this, or know why they might...

My 6 year old Lhasa Apsa started drinking a lot of water and piddling all over the house about 2 weeks ago - I could not get a urine sample at the time but my vet did start her on antibiotics and after 1 week on them all seemed good. I finally got a urine sample to follow up on this last Friday and the...
