Adding Weight
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I am concerned about Dulce's weight. She seems to be slowly losing weight, and I would like to know how to SAFELY add weight to her. My vet told me she is in PERFECT shape, but I'm still concerned. She has had so many medical problems: yeast infections, bacterical infections on her skin...

Study: Dogs Prefer Winners
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Study: Dogs Prefer Winners Has anybody seen that? Dogs, like humans, seem to enjoy watching playful competitions among others, and they even gravitate toward winners at the end of the game, according to a recent Animal Behavior journal study that analyzed canine spectators. http://dsc.discovery...

Now what?!

Riley's littermate, Willy, is owned by my grandmother. Willy peed in three places in her bedroom and two places in her closet. She threatens to get rid of him (and I think she's pretty serious about it). She also said that she would do anything to stop him from doing this, but she works, so she...

Choosing A Dog
This dog is really sweet and submissive, even to the family's three year-old. She used to have longer hair but it had to be cut because she got burrs in it. She loves humans. She is great with the people's other dog, but will chase one of their cats up a tree. She will also chase away any other...

One more question about bones
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I thought I'd give raw bones a try again. I have only given him one, several months ago and nothing since. I gave him a beef rib bone the other day and he ate off all the meat and chomped on the bone. The bone seems rather hard with a little marrow in it. He was chewing off small pieces and eating...

We are just about to receive the 18 month old CCI Guidance dog we are adopting. (She flunked the final exam because she is too "particular" about being groomed). We are both healthy, so she's just a pet, although after meeting her, she's already family. We feel we are very lucky to...

Need to vent
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Sorry you guys, I normally lurk in this forum, but tonight I need to vent a bit. This evening I went to run a few errands, and check out a new dog training facility about 30 miles away, and about halfway through my errands my husband called asking me to come home ASAP. Our coming 2 year old gelding had...

Georgia is my friends golden - she is presley's BFF. They play tug-a-war, which really isnt fair considering Georgia out weighs presley by 40lbs but Presely still loves it!
