Adding Weight

I think your thinking of when dieting people divide their daily portion into smaller more frequent meals.

But, your actually going to be feeding the regular meals with this smaller meal in addition to that.  So, you should see a little gain.

What a cute dog.  I'm getting a real "thing" for all these short furred dogs, what's going on??? [:D]

Because Pitties are the best [:D]

So should I give her "lunch" in the middle of the day? Or a "snack" after dinner???

Whichever is more convenient for you... or both if you choose. I just went and bought some Natural Balance Duck and Potato buiscuits and I'm hoping thats not cheating too much.

If i was trying to add weight i would probably go for a before bed meal, hoping the fat would 'stick' better if the dog isnt doing any more exercise for the day...make sense?Still give snacks throughout the day though.Treats are the biggest fat putter onners for my dogs [&:]

My OH is a real health nut,and i'm always arguing that we shouldnt eat after 7-8pm because the body has a harder time metabolising food later in the day making it more prone to store it as fat.He says this a myth.....  I need a litle more convincing [:D]

She cannot have treats, and I want to put on weight the HEALTHY way.

I'll do an extra meal, and add potatoes, and sweet potatoes, and carrots.

    Potatos will add weight, right?

lol..I don' tknow...thanks for your help guys. I feed them pretty late, so it'll be kinda hard to do an extra meal after din din.

If you can use the Natural Balance allergy formula, they make cookies that have the same ingredients. My dogs love them.

Otherwise, you can make your own treats with potato flour and fish. I bet Dulce would love that.

My dogs are incredibly spoiled, in case you couldn't tell[;)] I can't imagine living without dog cookies.

    Do Potatoes add carbs??

I've been feeding her extra, and adding lots of veggies, so I hope this helps. We'll see!
