Flea Allergy...Help!
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My 7 year old Border Collie, Skye, is allergic to fleas. She has been for some time now. She was put on steriods a few years back and it helped immensly. But, I heard bad things about animals being on steriods so, i took her off of them immediately. She was fine for awhile. But recently she has suffered...

I apologize if this has been posted before. And a warning: if you're offended by swearing, you probably won't enjoy it. There's not much, but there's some, so I just figured I'd warn ya. [link http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/sfo/247044188.html]http://www.craigslist.org/about...

Raw Beef Necks
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I had been buying Welsey raw bison bones at the Dog Bakery (I am not sure what area of the bison - but looks like a knuckle bone to me) for recreational chewing - he does eat the whole thing over time - he is a voracious chewer and it takes him about 4 chewing sessions of about 45 minutes to eat it ...

Looking for a trimming comb with a razor in it
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Many, many years ago we had a comb with some kind of blade inside, like a razor blade, but probably specifically made for the comb, to do trimming on our terriers. I've looked at PetCo, but all they had were combs, nothing with an actual blade. We use electric trimmers in the summer, but with this...

Most obnoxious TV add
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
There are a ton of TV ads that irritate me and as a rule i pay little attention to them--using that time to go to bathroom, feed dogs, etc. But I saw one that set my teeth on edge. A little boy gets an orange soda and shakes it, the top comes off and it sprays all over his mom. He looks rather stunned...

Choosing A Dog
I am constantly asked why Kaiser's back isn't sloped. Could it be a sign that he's poorly bred? He was a surprise gift for me after my RR died, and i know he came from a BYB. I'm gonna post a few pics that i have of his body. by the way, i think he's about 2 inches above standard...

Why just his stuff??
Posted to:

Ok, so my dogs have this thing. Both my beagle mix and my papillon do it. They only destroy my husbands things. Never mine. Whether it's a shoe being chewed up, or the other day it was peeing on his pants that were lying on the floor.(Yes, I know, my fault, it had been a little while since they were...

What does Shaking means to a dog?

Can you stop a dog from shaking? My dog shakes a lot and he makes a mess with his hair everywhere? I put on a shirt now so that helps the dog hair falling out everywhere.

I watched the CM shiny floor episode very attentively, courtesy of espencer. The episode was very similar to a home situation I had with my Great Dane, Petro (pictured below) and the resolve was slightly different. I got Petro in Oct 2005 and was told he was 10 months old and his weight at that time...

Wirehaired Pointing Griffon?
Posted to:

[size=1]I live in a family of four, two of which are allergic to pet dander. At the moment, we own a standard poodle. Since she is getting older, we are looking into getting another dog, and are thinking of the wirehaired pointing griffon. A big question to us is if the WPG sheds/has pet dander. Does...
