Looking for a trimming comb with a razor in it

Many, many years ago we had a comb with some kind of blade inside, like a razor blade, but probably specifically made for the comb, to do trimming on our terriers. I've looked at PetCo, but all they had were combs, nothing with an actual blade. We use electric trimmers in the summer, but with this crazy weather, Tookey is ready for a trim again, but I don't want to take him down as far as the electric trimmers go because I know winter will show up again (we did have a few flurries today, woohoo!). Does this product still exist, and does it have a name? I can't search for it because I don't really know what to call it!

Yes! You need snap on combs that attach to a regular clipper. First you put a 30 or 40 blade on your clippers (I recommend Andis 2 speed). Then you put on a snap on comb for whatever length you want the coat. Here's a link to the snap-ons:

I know they sell them for humans too, my dad has a pair that I use once in a while to thin my own hair a bit.

The furminator sounds similar to what you're looking for I think. Dog.com has it.

I got a comb from Walmart. I think it is called a thinning comb, or something like that. It's right in with the human clippers, hair dryers, etc. I've used it to trim down and thin out Emma's coat, some. I quit using it, though, b/c it got dull. I just shave her, now. It doesn't get very cold here, and there are dog sweaters for a reason[

What I'm thinking of isn't exactly like the thinning scissors, is is somewhat like the
Furminator, but we have one of those and it says not to use it on dogs that don't shed, which Tookey doesn't. Of course, there is always the distinct possibility that I am remembering it incorrectly!

not sure what your asking for but you can get snap on combs to fit over your clippers.
