There are a ton of TV ads that irritate me and as a rule i pay little attention to them--using that time to go to bathroom, feed dogs, etc. But I saw one that set my teeth on edge.
A little boy gets an orange soda and shakes it, the top comes off and it sprays all over his mom. He looks rather stunned. She yells at him something like 'What do you think you are doing" and then grabs the sink sprayer and starts sparying him and says something like "This works much better" and they are laughing and spraying each other there in the kitchen. It is a commercial for a paper towel.
This commercial drives me nuts. What the heck are they teaching l ittle kids to act like in the house.I suppose it is because i am so old, but when I see commercials like this, or shows like the old Roseanne where adults and kids were sitting at the table flipping food at each other, it sets my teeth on edge. this kind of thing gives the impression that this kind of conduct is okay. And it isn't. We use to build tents with sheets spread over chairs, we did make messes with our toys, etc, but to flip food at the table would have sent us to our rooms. To accidently spray Mopm would not have gotten us in trouble, but we would have cleaned up the mess and most certainly she would NEVER have gotten the sink sprayer and sprayed us right htere in the kitchen and laughed about it.
Anyway, i think this about the most obnoxious ad on TV. What one gets to you the most?
