If you are bathing the dog, you can keep him from shaking by keeping your hand on his back at all times. You could also put it on command so you have a little more control over when he does it -- like you could ask for him to shake outside before you head inside.
But you can't stop it altogether -- it's instinctive. I don't think you would want to stop it altogether, even if you could -- it's a really efficient method for the dog to dry himself, which helps keep him warm and get wetness off before it dries into mud.
