How do you guys feel about giving up on housebreaking and diapering a dog? A coworker's son and his girlfriend have done that with their Yorkie, and I think it's kind of weird. They think it's too "cruel" to crate her and put her in the kitchen with a pee-pad when they are gone...

My golden has really curly coat, and it's mostly really soft and healthy looking. But for some reason, the hair on the bottom of his back (just forward of the base of his tail) is really coarse and somewhat brittle feeling. Also, he's starting to get "eye boogers". Does anyone know...
