    KidStuff-Bad Mom....but also something cute

Elias was watching me play my Zelda game on the Wii yesterday...fascinated he was! Then last night...he had some bad dreams and a fitful night's sleep..poor guy. Obviously the two things are connected...that's the bad Mom part. No Zelda-ing in front of Eli now...to my eyes there wasn't anything too intense...but looking back...just that fact that I am walking around in the dark during much of the game and stuff comes after is probably enough...considering intense for him is Dora the Explorer and Diego! (smacking self!)

The cute thing was that while he was watching me...I was in a dungeon that had a lot of puzzle solving...jumping onto things and moving things around til the door opens...that sort of thing. He disappeared for a bit...into the playroom then comes running back out with the foam sword he had with his Pirate costume...[sm=biggrin.gif] TOO FUNNY! He hasn't even touched the sword since Halloween...I plumb forgot we even had it! Then he proceeds to climp onto the couch and anything else he could find and JUMP off..just like the character "Link" I was playing..lmao. He was even making a that perfect "grunt" Link makes when he lands.

It was cute...but also a reminder of how quick kids pick up behavior from things they see. I asked if he was playing Link and he says "Yeah...I'm jumping!"...lol. I remember growing up we always had boys in my elem. school running around zapping stuff with imaginary laser rays because they were "Transformers" or "G.I. Joe" men...lol...totally reminded me of that. Only because my husband and I are geeks...our kids pretend to be video game characters....haha!

ETA: Pic of Eli with his sword!

Lol very cute. Eli looks so much like my nephew. Make sure Eli doesnt get too rough. When my nephew was eight he broke his wrist and didnt even notice or cry. It wasnt til I was helping him into his PJ's that i noticed. He was wearing a baggy shirt so i couldnt see his wrist though out the day. It was swollen and bruised had to take him to the doc's. I dont know how kids take that kinda punishment[&:]

Yup. You're a horrible mom. You must send Elias to me immediately. [sm=biggrin.gif]
