Posted to:

What kind of heartworm prevention should I use for my little chihuahua? Right now she's just below 2 lbs (and will only grow to be between 5-6lbs probably) The vet told us he doesn't like to use medications like Heartgard and Interceptor b/c the smallest dose for dogs is when they weigh between...

Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Just want to get some opinions on if there is an age limit to start a dog on glucosamine and MSM supplement. Dasher is does not "need" it per se, he does not have any joint issues, but I was thinking of putting him on a supplement like Nupro. Lille our 12 year old lab) has been on glucosamine...

A (indirect) answer from Timberwolf on amaranth

Knowing that I wasn't going to get an answer from Timberwolf, I asked Only Natural Pet Store. Got an answer in an hour. Hello Kelly, Thank you for visiting Only Natural Pet Store. Our current stock still lists amaranth as an ingredient. According to Timberwolf, they have not included amaranth in...

I discovered gravity

I took a spill off of Ranger yesterday. After all these years, you'd think I'd know how to tighten a cinch. We were running the poles when the saddle slipped. I hit the back of my head, but fortunately I'm very hard-headed -- it's the other end that hurts. I may have to ride with a pillow...

I have a co-worker in Green Bay, whose dog has epilepsy. She is having a terrible experience with her vet, so I thought maybe a WI i-dogger could help her out. I live in KY, so I'm no help. Here is her email: " My dog was diagnosed with epilepsy in July. I've been VERY disappointed with...

Ok, yes I have a call into the vet but I had to share since I'm freaking a bit. The cat bowl which is glass b/c of Simon's acne fell off its shelf where I feed the cats and shattered into a million teeny pieces and big chunks. Snickers was EATING the food from the floor among the tiny shards...

What to do for a toothless dog?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Dani busted out a bunch of his teeth when Amber was in season, trying to get out of a crate. He's missing several of his front teeth and a couple front molars. Has anyone ever dealt with this much tooth loss, and what am I facing with him? I've never had this happen before. Poor guy.

I got home and our little girl, Sophia was laying on top of a teddy bear. I thought that would be a great picture. Suddenly Shakespeare sees me get my camphone out and lines up right next to Sophia. Heres what I ended up with. Once I said Ok thats all Shakespeare went on with his normal business.

I got this through another board ... Permission to cross post! You may think the Diamond food scare is over, or that only a limited amount of product is involved. Not so. On Monday, March 6 - after 3 feedings of Diamond's Premium Edge Chicken, Rice and Vegetables - we almost lost 3 of our 4...

Just a rant...

I really hate people sometimes. There were two pit bull stories on the news tonight. One about a pit that bit 6 year old in the face, and another story about a pit that was terrorizing his block. I feel horrible for the little girl and the dog in the first story. It showed the pit, of course, and he...
