First of all, that kind of deception in labeling is totally unacceptable. Nine months is a long time to not be putting something in the food that's on the label. Whether Amaranth is good or not, that is not the point here. They are deceiving all the people buying the food, which some may be buying it BECAUSE it contains amaranth. If they are willing to use these tactics on one ingredient, what is stopping them from lieing about the other ingredients or even the GA?
Enforcing these companies is very hard to do with the manpower and unless they (the USDA) have multiple complaints, there is really no reason to do any investigating/inspections.
I really had high hopes for TO and really wanted to give it a try myself (never got to though), but now I don't think I would touch it with a ten foot pole.
