Posted to:

I've posted a number of times about our new dog, Thatcher. In my last post I mentioned that we took him to an animal behaviorist and he was diagnosed w/ an anxiety disorder. He's temporarily on meds to relieve his anxiety so that we can work w/ him and train him. So far, so good. But the pooping...

jumping up on tables and counters
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi everyone! My 4 1/2 month old Airedale has really started to jump up on tables and counters, not only searching for food but also just things to chew on. I've never fed him people food, or from the table so I'm not sure what to do about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again...

Best no chew spray
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
One of my basenjis is a big time chewer. Inside he's pretty decent about chewing on his toys, but outside he's a maniac. He likes to chew and destroy the hoses to our air conditioner (not nice since its summer in Phoenix), the irrigation and his new favorite is the natural gas line to our grill...

Rescue Remedy Questions
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi everyone (again [ ]), I posted earlier asking for help with Riley and his phobia on thunder, fireworks and now loud sounds outside. I did some research today online (didn't do a stitch of work though) and many people kept mentioning in articles Rescue Remedy. Well, I went and bought it at...

I am having a severe problem with Riley and I just don't know what to do. For the last two weeks every time Riley hears a firecracker he runs like the wind back to our front door and begins shivering and shaking really hard. He also does this if there is thunder ... same reaction. He had his checkup...

Yap Wrap Choke-Free Body Harness for Small Dogs
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I was looking a different type of harness for my 10 -11 lb. dogs. I find the normal harness is too time constraining trying to figure out which way is which. First thing in the morning when I take the dogs out, I'm just not awake enough to figure it out, I'm sure lack of coffee has something...

I have a 3 yr old black lab that completely looses her mind when she sees a squirrel, chipmunk, cat, etc... really any other animal. If she happens to be outside, she'll take off after the animal and will not listen to me at all. She's run across the road in front of a car to chase a squirrel...

Who wouldn't call this a smile? It's not photoshopped, not edited or anything, just Chico's little face. Post your pictures of your smiling dogs here!

I adopted a puppy from my local humane society about 4 weeks ago. She's a mixed breed, but she definitely has a lot of pit bull in her. I was just wondering if anyone has any opionions on what she is mixed with? These pictures were taken when I first got her.... Also, any guesses on how big she's...

Besides keeping them on a tie out is there anything I can do to keep my dogs off the newly planted grass seed and hastas that I put in my yard? Is there some kind of covering I can use that might deter the dogs away from it, while still getting the stuff to grow? I tried burlap but the dogs still go...

Snapping at leash removal - ideas?

We rescued Jacko from a shelter 2 weeks ago. We are his 3rd family in his short, 1 year life. We know he was treated badly by at least the 1st family, and we have suspicions that he was at least neglected, if not abused, by the second family. This behaviour is sporadic, and I can't find anything...
