Traveling Rabbit

I belong to one group of about 20 of golden owners that is mostly just chat. We talk about kids, grandkids, weather, interesting news, our dogs espeically, post pictures, etc. Well I am not sure how the idea got started, but one in Washington state makes these beautiful rabbit "dolls" and dresses...

2 lessons learned.....

......from living with a Labrador puppy. 1. I have a genius level IQ, but there is no question my 11.5 week old puppy is smarter than I am. 2. I will be finding pieces of kibble in clothes pockets on my deathbed. It's all worth it, though. Kate

Those of you home all day with your dogs...
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I am a teacher so I now have a lot more time with Zoe at home during the summer. What kinds of things do you do with your dog during the day? She doesn't seem in much of a play mood and sleeps a lot... I guess because she is used to sleeping a lot while we are not here. I know I can do some training...

Switching foods/general nutrition
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I have decided to switch Ben's kibble to one of the better ones here in the UK (none of them are fabulous, but I am taking what I can get). I started mixing it in with his old kibble tonight, and he gobbled it all up - so far so good. I am also starting him on a healthy joint vitamin supplement ...

Advice on building jumps?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
A friend wants to build vertical jumps for training in AKC obedience. I guess he's less inclined to purchase the "practijumps" when he thinks he can build it himself out of pvc and plastic siding. Anyone else ever done this? I told him he's got to make the right measurements on it...

Help! Choked on raw chicken wing!
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
One of my dogs choked on a chicken wing today! She started heaving after swallowing down the last of it. I tried to get her to throw it up using the Heimlich Maneuver. She didn't, but seemed to be ok after two more heaves.I was quite surprised as she's eaten raw bones for a while and is quite...

I haven't Snopesed this yet, but I'm going to post it anyway. It's an e-mail that was sent to me: Good morning: As some of you know, I am a search and rescue pilot for the USAF Aux. Missions are few; flying is always good. Last evening I received the attached Flash message from our...

Switching Foods

Hello I am currently trying to switch my puppy's food. The first kind we had wasn't a very good quality (corn was the first ingredient), so we invested in a higher quality food especially designed for small breed puppies. I know you are supposed to do the switch gradually and mix his old...
