Depressed Dog
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
We got a new dog in March and ever since then our older dog (she just turned 7) is acting depressed, for example she doesn't want to play. We've even tried playing with them in separate rooms but she's not interested. Any advice?

Leaving her alone....
Posted to:

I currently work midnights and DH works days (at the same place). I have a possible chance to go to days, and DH wants me to do it. However, I am worried about Sally. She sleeps most of the day anyway, but this means that she would be in a crate for a little over 8 hours. What I could do is make her...

Read an article which concerned me.. Previously when I was researching safe chewable items for my dog i thought i had found what was a good choice over rawhides. Hot Spots

I went outside on Saturday to work with my lab. While I was scratching his favorite spot, I realized that he was missing some hair from under his neck. I started to look closer and saw some dark red spots. Then I started to look him over closer. I found one more spot by his ear. This one was sticky and...

Defending Treats
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hello all, new here. I've read some really good ideas on teaching a new puppy not to bite and was wondering if you had any ideas about a puppy that "guards" treats. She will growl and snap if you get to close while she has a pig ear. She is a 9-10 wk old pound puppy. She doesn't do...

Is Petsmart a good place for training?
Posted to:

As some of you may already know, Chico and I went to a different trainer who taught us to put Chico in submission, or...

Is anyone else having trouble with this forum being painfully slow?? I've got a high speed internet connection and I'm not having any trouble with other sites. I'm getting sick of this forum being so slow. This isn't the first time.
