First Puppy Class
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I loved it. Taz was rowdy of course. I chose to do the training class that my vet offers. The trainer has been training for about 25 yrs. She trains the dogs that assist people. She had her dog there. The dog was amazing. We're using clickers. Which I actually like. Taz is so smart, it amazes me...

What do you put in a Kong??
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I've been wanting to post this for awhile but just never did. I've been thinking since Willow is now eating so well (knock on wood) that I would maybe change things up a bit and put one meal in a Kong for her. Is that possible, she eats mostly canned food. I just haven't had much experience...

So I let my brother babysit Eldri this weekend...
Posted to:

...and he calls me while I'm in Boston, asking if he can send a few pictures to my PDA. I asked why, and he said that it was because he wanted to show me what Eldri does when I'm not home! So I get this. And this... Mind you, Eldri is all of 2 pounds (she gained some!). I called...

Need some camping meal ideas
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Besides the regular Hamburg/hotdog meal, do you have any ideas. Everything needs to be packing in a cooler, and I have to feed 6 people breakfast/lunch/diner everyday. We can't eat hotdogs for 4 days, so any ideas? Thanks

I really need some help....
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
The more I think about it, the more Sally and my training issues come down to one thing-focus--her lack of it and my inability to get it on ME. She is VERY easily distracted, especially on walks. She is also rather stubborn. She is very intelligent, and I believe can learn to be more focused, I'm...

Roscoe is an agility star!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Well, a star-in-the-making! Third class tonight, and Roscoe is doing so well. I am shocked at how much he likes it and how well he is doing. He's no border collie or aussie (let's just say that teaching the dogs to slow down a bit and be careful is not all that necessary in his case ), but he...

Distemper shot

Jetta is due for her Distemper shot. Last time she got one of these was 7/13/04, not quite two years ago. Should I take her in again to get vaccinated? With all the horror stories I hear of vaccinations I get nervous whenever she is due for shots.
