Just wanted to post his picture for all to see the old fella. Again many thanks to Anne, Mic and Jaime for your helpful suggestions. As you can see it worked. Since he has been accepted into the pack. He has got some giddi-up in his step, is an excellent watch dog for an old fart. Sleeps next to me at...

Okay, I'm going to bring up the past, but I was thinking about this today and thought that this forum needs some more excitement. When I was in college, I worked for a pet supplies store. One day this woman came in who had a  regnant lab that was too thin. First thing I asked her is.....

So I took an animal behavoral class a year back and I was just thinking about what the professior said about dogs. First thing he ever said in the class was something like "We know absolutly nothing about dogs" I don't know his exact words but it's always entered my mind from time to...

Asymptomatic Lyme Disease?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Well Toka had her yearly vet visit Tuesday, and today they called to say her blood test was clean for heartworm, but came up positive for lyme.. . As far as I can tell she hasn't been showing any symptoms, no lameness or neurological signs, and she wasn't positive last year. So I'm assuming...

Help -- I'm desperate. My dog (corgi/beagle mix rescue) is about 3 years old. He loves to go outside for a walk and we've never had any issues....until about a few days ago. Suddenly he doesn't want to go down the stairs and outside. Our first thought is that it must be something physical...

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I inherited two chiwauwas (sp) from my son. One male, one female. They're approx 4 years old, the male was fixed. No matter what I do, they can't be house broke, when my son had them, there were accidents (IE, read, his house smelled like a kennel;-D...

Oliver did a NINE mile hike today! (for those of you that don't know the significance of that.... he had TPO surgery with many complications in March and is recovering better than expected. we never thought we could work up to these long hikes) My question is, when we take them so far, obviously...

Timberwolf Lamb and Apple

I was thinking about trying Timbewolf Organics Nutrient Dense Lamb and Apple formula. The woman at the pet supply store said it was very high in fat, however, I have a terrier who's pretty active, but not a working dog. I like to give him variety and he does well on anything, but chicken (constipation...

Today was a really rainy day, as has been the last three days ... today she only pooped once in the morning ... and then didn't the rest of the day. Tonight, she started crying and scratching...

Was looking for some decent food for my dog, and came across this site: [link http://www.k9naturalfood.com]http://www.k9naturalfood.com[/link] It looks pretty good to my uneducated eye, plus it seems to be cheaper than what I'm currently feeding her and it wont be too difficult to obtain. ...
