I just can't take it anymore
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Well I had to go back on my meds. I can't take this anymore and I am just using pits as my example for the day. These 3 pictures are from another bulletin board that I frequent and they are within 2 weeks of each other. The picture with the 8 pit bull babies I am going to have made into a poster...

Amount of food to feed?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi all, I've got another dilemma. The breeder who I bought my puppy from said that I should feed her 1/4 cup of food every day, two times a day. I thought this was kind of sketchy at first because it sounded very small. I bought some dog food and it says for my puppy I should feed it 1 and 2/3 cup...

Non edible underwear question...
Posted to:

My husband and I were gone for about 5 hours today at a cookout. Wrigley was going to get to go, but I thought they might have firecrackers (and sure enough they did) so he stayed at home so he wouldn't be scared. Anyway, my closet door was left open and Wrigley got into our clothes hamper and ate...

How to tell a good breeder from a bad one...
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
One of my co-workers explained this to me last week and I just didn't have a clue how dumb I really was. Her husband works at a major sporting goods place where it is not uncommon for many bybs to take their litters of various sporting dogs on the weekends to sucker people in. Oh, I mean find...

wrong on her rabies tag and vaccination certificate. That's not a huge deal right? Do I need to get it fixed? Or can I just wait until next year?

Problems with Confinement
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hi, I don't post much, but decided to come out of lurking to see if anyone has any tips to help a co-worker's dog. My co-worker adopted her pit-bull, Brodie, about a year ago. He's 3-4 years old, a neutered male. She never really left him alone or taught him to accept a crate during the...

Moving~

Hi, I just wanted to know a few tips on what to do for a dog when you're moving. My new house is a new built house so it doesn't have a lawn, while my dog is trained to litter on the lawn. Also my neighbour has 2 huskies and they live mostly in the backyard (on the back yard deck). i was hoping...

I'm about a week into housetraining my puppy, and he's had a few accidents in the house (usually my fault for not keeping a constant eye on him). Anyways, I was wondering when exactly to praise him when he goes outside do I start telling him he's a goodboy while he's going or wait till...

A min pin and a ____?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi there. I have a 2 year old min pin that is the center of attention. We have been considering another dog for a while. My husband would like to get a breed other than a min pin, one that isn't as hyper. He has talked about maybe a pug or an english bulldog? He had a pug growing up, but neither...

Our first puppy and crate training
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My wife and I got our 1st puppy two weeks ago. She was 8 weeks old when we got her (a pure bred beagle). We are trying to crate train her and it isn't going too badly but we have a few questions. 1) She will not willing get into her crate and whines very loudly for ~5 minutes after putting her in...

Protein?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
What is the deal with protein? How much is enough, and how much is too much? Sally has had what we believe was a kidney infection last summer, and we put her on a lower protein food while she was recovering, and we ended up taking her off of it because she was doing poorly (the protein was 18.5%). Her...
