There was just a horrible story on the news. The night of the fourth a freaked out stray pit broke through someone's fence and curled up in the corner of this person's garage. The homeowners were interviewed and said they've been afraid to leave their house for days, not because this dog...

Senior cat not grooming 100%
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My cat Penny who is about 16 years old has recently stopped grooming her entire body - this has coused kinks or dreads to form all over. My first attempt to get rid of the problem was to comb her......that did not work. 2nd attempt was to take a scissor and VERY carefully snip some of them off.....

Hey all... I was watch the Euk. Tournament of Champions last night and one of the dogs got me thinking... It was Buzz, apparently the No. 1 labrador in the country right now... First, I was wondering if anyone else thought this dog was obese? He looks rather on the rotund (sp?) to me. My real...

very loose stools
Posted to:

I've been away on holiday for a week and Louise went to boarding. I picked her up today and she seems fine (completely normal, behaviourally) except for the fact that she's had very, very loose stools since she came home, she's pooped three times in 5 hours and once it was mucus-y. This was...

Why would he growl at me now?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
This is my 3rd post concerning Joey's behavioral issue. Joey has growled at me 2 times in the last 6 months, but never growled at me before this. I have had Joey for 3 years - he is 4 years old and part of his first year he spent with my mother. My question is: Why has growling now? After 3 years...

tie-out

our rottweiler/shepherd has always had separation anxiety. we've moved several times in his life, and we always have to come up with a new way to confine him when we're away. in our current house, the only thing that's worked has been a tie-out under a tree. well, now the tie-out isn't...

Hey folks! This is my first post and I had a few questions about owning a dog. My grandmother owned dogs all her life, and I love them to death. I've always been really fond of dogs and they've been fond of me and I've always wanted one of my own, but unfortunately the parents have always...

Well I guess this would definitely be an alternative protein source, and at 1660 kcal/cup, 2825/large can it would be a good way to put weight on too. http://www.caninecaviar.com/beaver.html#BeaverIngredients

Hey guys, My question might be one you hear every day but here goes. We just adopted a new dog from the Humane Society. We already have one dog, Mazie who is a mixed terrier that we've had for about 5 years. Mazie is a very timid, submissive unsocialized dog. She was very well trained (or abused...
