• tacran Posted : 7/10/2006 1:35:12 AM I saw it yesterday and loved it.  I admit, Johnny Depp could recite the alphabet, and I'd nominate him for an Oscar, so it was highly unlikely that I'd be disappointed!  Even in all that eyeliner and hair, he's still beyond lovely!  (I need a smiley that shows "heart-a-fluttering")   I must be in the minority here, because the one drawback for me is Keira Knightley.  I don't understand the hooplah over her - she has such a pinched face - her nose and lips bug me, and she's way too thin.  She's been in some terrific movies, but there's something about her that bugs me.   The main "bad guy" was awesome - the makeup/costume on him and his "mates" was incredible.  I can't imagine how long it took for them to get made up each day!   Now I've got to wait another year before I can see what happens next to Captain Jack!  Until then, I'll be renting the movie at least once, so I'll enjoy it a few times! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • keedokes Posted : 7/10/2006 11:48:26 AM Personally, the fact that Johnny Depp really admires Keira Knightley was just the cincher on my admiration of her.  I mean, come on, she was nineteen when she filmed the first movie.  Nineteen.  And, to me, she isn't as pinched looking as some of the other young actresses out there.  Look at Lindsay Lohan (who has completely ruined herself) and whichever of the Olson twins was/is so emaciated.  Even Anne Hathaway got herself unnaturally thin--I loved her curves and that she wasn't going after the thin craze when she first came out.  Gr.  But, anyway, Ms. Knightley is really tall (which makes her lanky for her weight), and she's muscular, too (not overly so).  She had to be for King Arthur and for the latest Pirates movie because of all of the fight scenes.
