Just a silly little game to play, just finish this one sentence: You know you love your dog when... Here are few ...You sleep on the couch so the dog can have the bed ...Even your underwear have pictures of your dog printed on them ...You pay more for your dogs food than you do for your...

She's not all there. And neither am I for posting these pics. Shelby decided to give the Boy a good hump... "Get the hell out of the way Guy! Can't you see I'm busy!!" Giving a good hump can tire you out... And if that weren't bad enough, you can...

heartgard overdose

I was giving my dogs Heartgard and dropped one for dogs up to 25 pounds. The dog that already got his dosage ate the one that dropped on the floor. He normally gets 2 and he ate 3. Should I worry or is this not enough to hurt him. He is approxiamtely 50 pounds. Thanks for any insight!

She Got It! She finally got it!!

Lol sorry for the over excitement but I am just so happy that Lizzie is finally doing what I want. She now sits, lays down, comes, and gives me her paw 98.9% of the time. The 'come' usually has to be reinforced with a pat on the leg because she usually looks at me like 'Do you want something...

Our class was a hit!

I don't know if I told all of you or not, but a coworker and I were asked to do a class for our summer reading program ("Paws, Claws. Scales and TALES" ;) . We did it yesterday and it went very well! My coworker, Sue, is a published author of cat books and I with my vast knowledge (insert...

Hot spot tips
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My 7 yo cocker has his second hot spot in the four years I've had him. He's *never* had a flea that we've found or scratched or chewed. He seems perfectly comfortable now. About two days ago my DW brought my attention to some bumpy little scabs on Dylan's head. He was recently groomed...

Help with indoor excersices

My puppy is almost 10 months old and between 75 and 80 lbs. He is a border collie, blue healer, black lab mix. He is a very smart, if not stubborn dog. Things in our home have changed to where my husband works nights and sleeps days. This means our play has changed. Because of the new schedule I...

I don't know much about them... our neighbors have 2 of them. One is full grown and the other is probably 8-9 months old. I've never really known a "mean" dog, but these two scare the bejesus out of me! They are constantly trying to get through the fence when we are out back whether...

Solid Gold Barking at the Moon
Posted to:

I read from another forum that Solid Gold was changing its formula. On the SG website, I noticed that turkey has been replaced by beef in the ingredient list. Is this a recent change? Anyone know whether they are adding another product to this line that does not include beef?

Now I have an aggressive dog . . .

I have been too upset to write anything here, but here goes. As much as I have gone on and on about how afraid of "aggressive" dogs I am (whatever "aggressive" means) my phobic dog bit a child on the face. No warning (that is, no growl) and no stitches (thank heavens) but a puncture...

Cutting holes in the house

BF is up in the attic right now cutting holes for attic fans. Our a/c hasn't shut off at all in days, except when we make it take a break and the house is still averaging 80 degrees. Last electric bill was $250+ - it's only a 1600 sq ft house!! So he took the temp in the attic a couple days in...
