You are all probably tired of me, but I am still struggling. We are tyring to learn the bell thing...which so far just scares her. She just goes wherever. Should I get a trainer at the point? She is 6mos old...is she just too young to get it?

I rescued Roughie from the streets of Guadalajara, Mexico about a year and a half ago. He looks a lot like the movie dog Benjie. From the very beginning he was a sweet dog who got along fine with a toy French poodle I had also rescued a year earlier. Five days ago, while in our house, he suddenly starting...

Do I really want to give her away?

I have told the story of Georgia many times on this forum and now I'm faced with a decision I'm not shure I want to do. Gerogia was attacked in my own yard about 6 months ago by some GSDs that jumed the fence. She had to get staples down her back. After the attack she would not leave the...

I'm brand new here. I have a question about my newely adopted Greyhound's flatulance. She is a Pound puppy, they found her as a stray. I completed the adoption papers thursday, she was spayed friday and I picked her up yesterday. I know that greyhounds have a tendency to fart in the car . However...

Louise was spayed yesterday and has to wear a cone because she is very interested in ripping out her stitches. My husband made a cone for her favourite toy, Mr. Turtle, so she would not feel like a dork. (sorry about the picture quality - they're camera phone pictures)

Two girls??
Posted to:

Is it true that two female dogs will not get along well?? I find this hard to believe, as my dog usually tolerates female dogs better than males. If we ever get a second dog, my mom wants it to be another female. This won't cause a problem, will it??

Stubborn
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I have a 15 year old Neapolitan/Old English Mastiff who has become rather stubborn during these last couple of months. He seems to not want to do things that have been part of his routine for years (i.e... refuses to come in at night). Could it be his age that's causeing him to behave differently...
