OMG! People are heartless...

From what I can see all ACC here can do is levy a $500 fine for cruelty. I hope to God that there are criminal components to this that can be prosecuted. Please say a few prayers for this pup and for the officer who rescued him.

edited to add: I see now where she was arrested and charged with a felony - I hope the judge throws the book at her!

Dogs will never cease to amaze me. Still after all that... being a sweet, happy, tail wagging thing. They are truly better than us.

I wish him all the luck in the world to make it through and experience a happy loving home. [sm=angel.gif]

That is horrible ... aboslutely vile.

Thank God that dog was able to be rescued, though. What about the other five dogs at the home? It didn't mention their health, but since the other dog was in bad shape, I'm sure they weren't doing well.

geesh.... some people... this is when i would like to tie them to a tractor with no way to escape and let them just fend for myself...

That is one of the worst cases of animal cruelty I have ever read. That is awful!! It amazes me how some dogs can go through things like that and still want to have a human to call its own. I hope that dog is able to live and find a home that will appreciate it and give it the loving it deserves.

As for his/her owner, I wish that there were stricter laws and punishments in place. How can anyone see that and not help the poor animal? There is no excuse. There is no reason to see that and not feel an urgency to take the animal to the vet. It disgusts me to no end. Animals are members of the family. They are not something to ignore and bring out on occasion. And, yes animals can be expensive, but even vets are willing to help out with payments on big expenses. This is just horrid. Unfortunately, this was a case that was found out about. I wonder how many other horror stories there are that are not being discovered.

The owner was "putting peroxide on it". Like that's supposed to be an excuse.

This is such a sad story, poor dog. Atleast it has been take away and given medical treatment. Lets hope it has a full recovery and finds a great loving home.

This lady should be tied to the tractor and left, stupid women what a thoughtless cruel so and so.

Jeez. Do people even care? She'd get a stiffer sentence for reckless driving than for torturing this poor animal.

She would get a stiffer fine for shp lifitng. PLEASE let me at her with a chain and the peroxide.
