Wait and stay: are they the same?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I have read posts where people are telling their dog to "wait" in what I would consider a "stay" situation. Are they the same command, just a different word? Sue

What Would You Say About This to the Management?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment

This violates everything I believe should even logically be done. I don't regularly shop at Petland; in fact, I very rarely do...

Some pics I took today at work, the dog daycare (called The Pampered Pet) Here's Quincy, the psycho-water loving Doberman from doggy daycare. He LOVES the hose, he even figured out how to turn it on himself[&:]. I had to lock him in one of the kennels while I filled...

Old dog disease resurfaced in North Texas
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
My mom saw this on the news tonight and called me right away! I don't feed my dogs outside and never let them stay outside in this Texas heat for more than about 5 minutes so I don't even have water outside, but Izzy eats anything and everything she can get her mouth on and likes to play with...

My boys Big Boo-boo / Boney head protrusion
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
So, last night I came home and was petting the dogs - well attempting to pet with them jumping all over, etc. I was patting the top of my boy's head when I felt a large bump - a really big one. Of course, I immediately panicked - isn't that the normal reaction? You know those dinosaur pictures...

Mixing Raw & Kibble

I just got back from the vets office. My vet is a holistic vet and REALLY promotes feeding raw. I had tried Duke on raw before, but he never really took to it. But I want to try again, especially because I think that Daisy would really benefit from it. Now, I would really like to give Daisy & Duke...

Ok, so I am new to the cat thing and I need some recommendations on litter So far I have been using Fresh Step which has been great for odor control, but it just doesn't clump very well. I have had recommendations for Tidy Cats (immediate odor control) and Arm & Hammer. My question is: what is...

De-barked?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Seeing Debs post reminded me of this. The other day I was driving and came to a stop sign. I saw a dog walking with it's owner and I heard a funny sound. I thought 'that dog sounds like he can't bark, like his bark has been removed" I had no idea that was even true. I was kinda just...

EARS!

I hope this is in the right category, I'm not sure where exactly to place it. My nine year old Labx dog has had problems with his ears for quite some time now. Our vet gave some ear cleansing medicine but thats it. I've tried some other ear drops and products, but nothing seems to be working...
