Posted to:

Ive been looking at some pit bull movies and just thinking about the day to day stuff I see all over. People who think its ok to chain their dog up all day, with dirty water and give it no attention and love. People who have a dog and dont allow themselves to love it. Who say a dog doesnt 'deserve'...

Beef N More?

Anyone ever tried Beef N More by Merrick (I know Merrick's poor history tho)? I was looking at dog food at Sams club today just to kill time and noticed the ingredients are not all that bad! Here's a link: [link http://www.beefnmore.com/can.htm]http://www.beefnmore.com/can.htm[/link] ...

Consarn those rabbits!

Alright, I need some help. Strauss's prey drive is pretty strong, but he's got a 99% reliable recall. I can call him off squirrels, birds, cats, mice, voles, etc....his 1% of his recall...involves rabbits. I don't know how to get him off rabbits! And it's not something I can readily...

Yesterday, a girl brought a little dachsund puppy into work. She had it in a bag, so I asked if I could take her out. First thing I noticed was that she was tilting her head to the side and couldnt hold it up really at all. Then when I was looking at her eyes, I noticed they still had that milky look...

Anyone feed Canidae canned food?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Just bought a couple of cans of Canidae canned food (Chicken/lamb/fish...i believe its the platimum line). Was wondering if anyone else feeds this and how their dog does on it. I was thinking of feeding it once a week or once every two weeks along with his canidae dry kibble.

Essential oil/Essential oil rinse... where to buy?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I saw someone mention essential oil/essential oil rinse in another thread here. I'd love to have some, as my schnauzers skin tends to be on the dry side (mostly right after a bath). Where do you get yours? Does it already come prepared or would I have to do some mixing? Thanks!

Hey all. Friday night I was going to head into town to see a friend. As I was going to leave, it was raining pretty hard outside. Naturally, my dog (an outside dog) will find shelter from the rain, sometimes crawling under our cars. Usually he will crawl out as soon as he hears us coming, but that...

Dog Harness/Seatbelt
Posted to:

Hi Everyone-- I recently heard about a great dog harness/seat belt that allows you to adjust the amount of freedom the dog has to lie down in the back seat, sit up, turn around, etc. It came in a glow in the dark yellow and an electric blue. Unfortunately, I've forgotten the name of the company...

We got Shadow's vacc's updated this morning. It took a while. I was determined not to have to struggle with him. So, I brought along treats. He was afraid of walking into the clinic. So, me and the vet tried outside. It took a while to find a spot he was calm enough to sit down at. I handed treats...
