It was probably me and I don't use 'pet stuff' -- I tend to mix my own and then I *Know* what it's got in it. Most health stores have a nice selection of essential oils -- and after a bath I just haul a dishpan into the tub and add about 2 gallons of water, then 25-30 drops of oil sometimes more. Tea tree is a marvelous conditioner (it's both an emollient AND a degreaser which seems like an oxy-moron but it helps dry skin a lot) and an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and it also tends to repel bugs a bit. Lavender is great for coat and skin. Again it's a great emollient and anti-fungal, anti-bacterial as well. So often I'll add maybe 20 drops of each.
Stand the dog in the water (2 feet at a time and then turn them around if the dog is larger) and just pour it over by the cupsful and let it run back into the basin. Eventually you'll lose it all down the drain but it leaves a nice shine.
