    Anyone feed Canidae canned food?

Just bought a couple of cans of Canidae canned food (Chicken/lamb/fish...i believe its the platimum line).  Was wondering if anyone else feeds this and how their dog does on it.  I was thinking of feeding it once a week or once every two weeks along with his canidae dry kibble.

    Twin feeds it.
I'm sure he'll let you know how his pooch does on it.

I've fed it. Not as a major part of the diet, but just as a mixer in with diferent kibbles. The dogs like it, I like the ingredients, and they did well with it.

Here I am! [:)] Thanks Chewbecca, you remembered (by the way I'm a girl)! [;)]

Canidae canned is absolutely WONDERFUlL!! [sm=wink2.gif][sm=wink2.gif]

I just switched my boy over to Canidae kibble and canned. I mix the canned in with every meal, not a whole can, just a big scoop (enough to cover the kibble well). I was worried at first because I just switched him to Canidae kibble, so I had NO idea how the canned was going to sit with him. He was previously on NB Duck & Potato...so that was a totally different kind of food.

Well, his first stools and EVERY SINGLE ONE after that has been absolutely PERFECT!! [:D]  Small, firm, compact, darker...the best he has ever had in his 10 months! Not only that but they are consistent, even when I give him snacks and such. So far for me and my pup Canidae has worked wonders. Not only that but he is a picky poo and he gobbles up his meals every time and looks for more! [:)] I could not be happier. I give him both the canned Canidae chicken/lamb/fish, and also the lamb/rice. His stools have been perfect with both!

As always, all dogs are different, but I have had great luck with it. Won't hurt to give it a try. I would love to hear how your dog does.

    CANIDAE ALL THE WAY! [sm=dance.gif]

Also want to add that another member on here, (Sophia) had fed her dog strictly Canidae canned food and its stools were nice and firm.

I use to rotate adding canned Canidae, Evo, and Nature's Variety to kibble and JJ loved all 3. Unfortunately, had to stop the Canidae as he has allergies to rice (the other 2 varieties didn't have rice).

    Canidae is great food!

just fed Boomer the canned Canidae with his kibble and he LOVED IT!!  Another quick question.  The unused canned food I've put in a tupperware and put in the fridge.  How long would it be safe to keep in the fridge and still feed him?  About 1 week?

    THanks

Great, so happy to hear that he likes it! [:)]

Yes, I would say 1 week maximum, maybe 5 days to err on the side of caution.

Hope all goes well, would love an update on his stools!! [:D]

I keep a can of food in the fridge for 3 days tops.  I've always heard that if you don't use it in 3 days, throw it out.

Gertie loves her canidae dry and canned. I put a little scoop of canned on top of her dry and she gobbles it up. This is the first food that she seemed enthusiastic about. I have been feeding her this for about 6 months now and her stools are perfect and solid and her coat has improved as well. No more nasty science diet for her. :)
