My Aussie terrier, Kazimer, is just shy of a year old. He is a very people oriented dog, never aggressive towards people. Blue tooth question

I have my old cell phone and new cell phone and both are blue tooth enabled. I connected/paired the 2 phones together. Now, shouldn't I be able to transfer my contact list from my old to the new via blue tooth? I can't figure out how and the instructions are only to pair. Ideas Anyone?
