My dog is very territorial (with dogs) and will display some nasty barking and lunging behaviour when any dog dares pass by his yard. I am able to get him to sit quietly if I stand beside him but without me there he has no self control! Away from his property he barely acknowledges the presence of another...

Prayers needed for my husband

I don't really want to go into detail about this, but he has been in ICU since Saturday. I am worn out from staying with him and decided it would be better for me to come home early to better handle this. It boils down to him making better choices for his lifestyle, and I'm not convinced that...

Hello Ladies! Gina and Lani - I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Jaime and Kate have made me aware the issues you have been having with DPU. As an FYI, tonight I sent him a lengthy PM letting him know in no uncertain terms the following things: 1. Abuse reports have...

I'm leaving soon to head to London for what should, I hope, be an interesting appointment with my specialist. I'm staying a little longer than necessary to have lunch with my SIL, who happens to be going to London today for other reasons. I'll be back sometime in the late afternoon, my time...

What a weekend!

Between the 20 - 30 mph hour winds driving to the trial from IN to OH in an RV (think huge kite!) and the rain and cold on Saturday, I was exhausted on Sat night. But Sat went ok. We got 2 Q's out of 3 runs. My friend's pop up tent was one of 5 that bit the dust on Sat because of the wind. It...

How do you tell a friend...

...they're not taking good care of their dog? I have a friend, for many years, who got a puppy last year. She bought a Pomeranian/Maltese mix from some guy online, probably a puppymill. But, I didn't know where she was getting the dog from, I actually didn't know she was getting a dog...

Ears: Really wet to really dry
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I have a 2-year old Vizsla who has had chronic yeast in his ears for about a year. My vet suggested that he might be allergic to grain and decided that a BARF diet might clear up his damp, funky ears. This worked. His ears are no longer terminally wet and fungus is gone. But now they are quite inflammed...

Monday I called a shelter to see if they were still excepting adoptions papers on a dog that I found. Yes they were but she said that they have already received a lot of applications for her and will go thru them maybe at the end of the week. So yesterday I faxed them my filled out adoptions papers....

So, we're getting 'Muggle' on Saturday! He's a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, no points as of yet but I'm allowed to do what I will with him. Which means, if I come up with some extra cash we'll both be experimenting a bit in the show ring. I'm also planning on flyball and maybe rally...

I think I have a meeting right at 8am this morning. Bleh. I slept with the windows open last night and woke up pretty cold! It's only 45 out right now. I made $60 from helping my friend sell some of her stuff on ebay. I think I'm going to try Craigslist from now on though. Ebay nickels and dimes...
