PM Sent to DPU

Hello Ladies!

Gina and Lani - I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Jaime and Kate have made me aware the issues you have been having with DPU.

As an FYI, tonight I sent him a lengthy PM letting him know in no uncertain terms the following things:

1. Abuse reports have a purpose - he should use them for that purpose and nothing else (i.e. questioning your decisions)

2. No one is being given special treatment

3. I have complete trust in all of you to make decisions in regards to edits and enforcing the rules and regulations of this board and that while he may not agree with your decisions - I do (and really, if I'm happy, nothing else is important Stick out tongue )

4. That to do your job effectively you must be able to PM ALL members to address issues as they arise, and therefore as a member, he is required to read and respond to any PM's any of you may send him

I hope I covered all of the issues that have been driving you crazy.

I know this place can get a little nuts and that at times certain members are very trying, but we (and more importantly I Big Smile ) appreciate all of the time and effort you put into this forum so please do not let the party poopers get to you. I want this to be a place you all enjoy as members and moderators/admins. If you ever need support Kate is a good person to lean on - call her.

Kidding - while I think you all do a fabulous job and that our current set up works very well, I am always available to help in situations like these. Whenever the three of you feel like you need someone else to step in - do not hesitate to copy both Jaime and I on an email (as Kate does when she wants to kick somebody to the curb - good girl - you get a mojito) and we will jump in to help as soon as we can. I think I like you Meghan... I think I do Beer lol .. I think more accurately it's "love"! Thank you for havin' our backs.

And don't you worry -- we'll be on standby for that "fiery response" that you'll no doubt be getting any moment! He may even *gasp* threaten to leave!

LOL you know you're only offering the mojito because you're well aware you have to drink it for me. HA!

Thanks SO much, Meghan. I think I can safely speak for all of us when I say we appreciate both your confidence in us and your dealing with him. You'll get a response, I have no doubt.

Response received. You're all going to laugh when you hear his biggest concern: He's confused because he remembers watching a video I posted that was of me performing frisbee with my dog and I was a man. You know what he's probably right - I've posted several random things at the direction of my supervisor. I have no idea who that man is. But for the sake of argument, why couldn't it have been my brother, or boyfriend or husband or trainer???

Anyway, he then went on to say that he's confused b/c he doesn't remember asking that mods/admins, besides one who is no longer a mod/admin, not PM him. So that's easy for me to fix, I'll just say great - so we'll have no problem if someone should need to contact you.

He then went on to questions why I am here and how come I did publicly introduce myself (b/c I don't want to b/c I like everyone contacting Kate -hahahaha) and what happened to Jaime.

So now I am off to assure him that Jaime is in good health and still amongst us to let him know when he is "in the hot seat" as he says she always does.

Off to drink Kate's mojito at 9 a.m. Drinks

Is he not an absolute treasure? Attention span of a gnat that one...everywhere and no where so long as real issues concerning his behavior can be ignored LOL.

Oh yes, an absolute treasure, and definitely a master at attempting to distract from the real issue at hand.
