Mindless Chatter Sunday night?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I couldn't find one so I'm starting one. I need to de-chatter my brain. I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt I posted a thread in an English accent(not sure how I would do that), about how I was going to breed my male and female rotties even though they weren't show dogs or proven...

Oh my goodness, my sister bless her little cotton socks broke up with her fiance of 8 years. And she is going wild drinking most weekends, dragged me out a few nights. I am not a big drinker nor partyer, I like house parties with friends more my style. Today she rings me up, a guy she met on the weekend...

Poor Gibby. I bought that harness that help keeps the dog from pulling....and it helped a bit.... quite a bit in fact. But not enough. I am taking Gibby to obedience classes and he does great there...but taking him for his walks...when he wants to get someplace...he gets there. Gibby is showing me how...

Any ideas to stop a pup from scratching at her stitches???
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Ok, so Soda got spayed Tuesday and has been doing really well except for one thing. She scratches at her stitches all the time! It's with her back legs (so she stands up and reaches one or her back feet WAY up there and scratches the *** out of herself. She can't actually get to her stitches...

I'm a proud mom today!

Last night we had Intermediate Class graduation, and they both passed! I knew they had most of the work down pat, but just based on their age (10 months next week!) I thought we'd have to take Intermediate at least one more time. But our trainer passed them both! We're on to Advanced and beginning...

Emergency Whistle Bait
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I use an emergency whistle for my dogs. I use those little Cesar containers made for little dogs. They work fine for me. But my friend has 6 dogs and carrying 6 of those packs isn't practical on an everyday basis. Any ideas on something easier for her to use? Beef Jerky doesn't work for Eclipse...

Cow Hooves
Posted to:

Anybody give these to their dog? My Dad used to give them to our first Lab- she loved them. Today, I went to pick up some dog food for Apollo, and he was sniffing around the bins of bones, rawhides, and cow hooves. He was especially interested in the cow hooves so I got him one (first time). He's...

Small Brag for the Tedlet (herding)
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
We survived our first herding trial together this weekend. Well, Ted's first, I mean - it's definitely not my first bar-becue though it's been years since I had a dog to run. We won our class! There's no HIT in USBCHA-style trials so that's as big a brag as one can get for a trial...

I haven't been on the forum much lately. Life has kept me pretty busy. I admit, I've been a bit stressed, what with school, and three jobs, and the boyfriend. I have doctors appointments out the wazoo for my Tourettes, and my bi-polar disorder, and some lumps that I found. I've been struggling...

Healthwise?

One more bag of canidae to go! It's about time to get a new bag to start mixing. I was talking to the owner of our dog bakery, and he said he was getting in healthwise, and he thought it was a great food. He said it was pretty comprable to canidae, and is only $38 for 40#. I haven't heard much...
