Licking
Hi, I am new here, but have a question. I have a 3 yr old cocker, she is spayed and lives mostly indoors as I do not have a fenced yard. I have noticed that she is licking the carpet in whatever room she is in and has been doing so for weeks now. There is nothing food wise on the floor. Just dust...

Very aggressive w/strangers
My border collie, Bowie, has become very aggressive with strangers. He has actually tried to bite people on several occasions. The people did nothing at all to provoke him - he started barking and growling, then lunged for them. At home, he is sweet and submissive as can be. I've used the NILF method...

Brain Games Needed!
My dog Chico is part border collie, and he really needs to work his brain! Does anybody have any good brain games or brain work that I could try? I took the dog IQ test (which he had so much fun with) and it said Chico was a genius, so he can try any level of game. Also, this is a bit random...

Urine smell
Does anyone know a good solution to eliminate dog urine smell in your carpet. I have a two year old Chi that likes to pee on the carpet at times. When I walk in the front door of the house you know when she has peed. She has just recently started doing this as she has always peed outside or on her pee...

Resource Guarding - So Much for Progress
Ugh... I am SO frustrated right now. I THOUGHT we had made progress with the resource guarding thing that my puppy came with, but apparently NOT. I was out in the yard and Shippo found a dead bird and picked it up. With the fear of all kinds of diseases that are rampant right now, I tried to take it...

"crate trained" adoptee is pouty in crate
We adopted a Border Collie mix, estimated to be 1 year old, about a week ago. From what we know of his history, he was adopted once after being found as a stray about 5 months old. That family kept him for 2 months and crated him outside. The crate was often used as punishment for barking. Family #2...

dog takes fOREVER to "go" outside
My new dog (7 m/o border collie lab mix) takes forever to "go" when you take him outside. We've even taken him for many long walks where he doesn't pee or poop the whole time. He's had some problems with housebreaking (although its improving), so I feel like I need to take him out...

poo rolling fetish
my adorable little cocker has a fetish! she can't resist rolling in poo! i live on a nice quiet cul-de-sac and let her run around outside sometimes. but if she sees it, she will roll in poo, whether it's doggy, kitty, or bird. i've heard that instinctively dogs do this because the are trying...

Other dogs make my dog crazy!
I currently have a 1.5 year old dog in obedience classes and since she has been in the class she has only become more agressive towards other dogs. She was injured as a puppy and also had a major surgery so for most of her puppy years she was confined to a kennel and did not get much interaction with...

Agression training... any miracles?
My family has a weiner dog, Wills, and he has lived w/ us for about 2 years. In his first two years of his life he was in 6 different homes and finally found us. In the home he is super sweet and very easy going. No problems grooming him, brushing his teeth or cleaning his ears. He sits in your lap and...

New Puppy - Angry Adult Dog
Hello, My husband and I have a 1 year old, male Yorkie-Poo, who has been extremely spoiled (we don't have children & have the tendency to treat him like one). We just got a little 7 1/2 week old, female Yorkie-Poo 2 days ago. Our male dog is usually really good with other dogs, but absolutely...

Overly horny
I have a lil pug named Squigs. I've been havin problems with him from day one. He's usually obedient, but then he goes around trying to hump things. Random things. People even. [&:] I know dogs do that, but he seems overly obsessed with the idea of latching onto someone's leg and having...

Two fighting males
We have a lab mix (7 years old) and some other kind of mix that's 6 years old (don't know the breed), both of which are neutered. They were brought together in a new house 5 years ago and we have had fighting problems with them on and off for about the last 3 years. It used to be a fight once...

Fear Aggression????
We have a 1 -2 year old rescued Wheaten Terrier / Shepard mix. A big, beautiful blonde girl. Her name is HoneyBear. We have had a lot of 'issues' since adopting her, but with obedience classes and firm resolve and patience... we have come a LONG way. She is very much continually trying to be...

He doesn't listen to us, so we have to listen to him!
My year-old shepard/border collie/lab puppy is constantly barking at everything! We did take him to a puppy class when he was younger, and they told us to squirt him with water everytime he barks. That works, but only when we have the squirt bottle and are standing right behind him! Now he's...

Help please
I have a golden retriever lab mix. I love the dog to death except for a few problems. Today I was extremely mad at her because she chewed up my bluetooth earpiece. All I could think is "This cost more than you", and I wanted to beat her (it took every thing in me not to) but I didn't I...
