Brother likes sisters a little TOO much

    Hello,
need some advice here.....My min pin pooch (Cody) is a rescue (2 years old) I recently picked up his blood related younger (6 month old) sisters to foster. They are getting spayed 1 week from today and have not been in heat yet but Cody who has been neutered (a year ago) tried to mount the littlest girl. Why? How come? is this dangerous? Should I seperate them? He doesn;t do it all the time but I caught him once already....
    help???

    Thanks,
     Katie

It is about dominance not sex and procreation.  You may want to increase obedience training so you can interupt the behavior with a command.

he's probly just trying to tell her who boss..try saying "NO" in a loud and firm voice when he trys to mount her.

There is no reason to use a loud voice, in fact it will condition your dog to ignore a voice at any other tone.  Firm is fine, but loud does not need to be part of the plan.

"Leave it" or "off", if you've taught them, should work fine...

Otherwise, as long as he's neutered, there's no danger of accidental pregnancy, and if the girls aren't in heat, they'll start telling him to quit.

Yup my big dog did it to his sisters all the time when we first got them.  Not sexual in the least.  Onyx is taking a more dominant role with him but Keira is bottom of the totem pole so even Onyx will get on once in a while.  Poor Keira.
