Calcium
I try to feed Bugsy raw meals 1-2x a week which consist of some meat/organs and a bone. The only bones that really work are beef knuckle bones which at times I struggle to find. Lamb bones are fine but expensive and even harder to find. He has barfed up pork bones from time to time so I feed those rarely...

Buddy needs some nutritional advice
As recommended by the vet, I put Buddy (11 years old) on Hills JD rx to help his mobility issues. This, as a result of my telling the vet about his loose footing and rear leg weakness. He's been on it for about a month now, if I remember correctly. This food is corn-based and has about 17% protein...

Bone crunching?
I just gave Tyson a raw pork bone. I had frozen it and when he was chewing on it, it sounded like he was actually crunching through the bone to try to get to the marrow and I took it away from him because I suspected that he was actually eating some of the bone. Is this a problem so I know for next time...

The Honest Kitchen Question
River and Kya are both doing well with the Honest Kitchen foods. However, Chloe vomits this food. I initially thought that she needed it soaked for longer, but regardless of how long it's been rehydrating, she vomits. Usually within 10 minutes of eating any of the food. I've even tried a teaspoon...

Wysong DentaTreat
Have you tried it? Did you like it? Why? Just looking for a boost to their dental care. They get teeth brushed, and chewies, but Jewel is still needing a dental after 10 months.

Gaining weight and Cardiomyopathy
Maze has lost 2lbs since I first noticed the increase in her cough. Granted 2lbs isn't much but for those of you who have seen Maze, she really can't afford to loose any. Her hips and ribs stick out really bad. Is there anything I can add to her food to get some weight on her? She's eating...

How much heart for Maze?
Maze is 48lbs. She should be 50lbs. Janet suggested added raw heart to her diet. I use beef heart for Sandy so that's what I'd be using for Maze. How much should Maze be getting a week? *edit* DANG IT!! MODS!! Please move this to nutrition.. I coulda sworn I put it there..

Grandma Lucy's & Homecooking ?'s
Patty, my dear Patty, is my picky eater. She eats whatever I put down (usually, lol), but she never looks happy about it unless it has something (meat, yogurt, veggies, etc) mixed in. This morning I was out on a dog food/coffee run and I saw GL's dehydrated dog food (it's comparable to THK, I...

High Protein and Senoirs
I am so confused now. I just got back from the vet, she told me that high protein food is not good for senoir dogs, it can cause kidney and liver failure. Pella is 10 yrs old, she has always had a problem with leaking since very young. (I believe it had to do with when she was spayed.) So she has been...
