The beef one is not designed for puppies!! That's actually the formula that didn't agree with Kes and I think it's because it's sooo high in grains. If you're going to switch, why not try Preference? That way you can customize it *and* it's designed for use with pups. Preference is the only food we've tried with Kes that he could go cold turkey onto.
If I was in your shoes I'd try to just change one thing at a time so you can pinpoint what works and what doesn't more easily. You could stick with the same food and add the probiotics first, then try adding pumpkin, then switch the food, etc. giving each change at least a week to see if the change helps or not.
(btw Callie, THK is unique in that their chicken is certified free-range and antibiotic-free and all their ingredients are human grade and non-GMO. Doesn't change the inflammatory nature of the protein, but it does minimize the yuckiness factor found in most chicken. )
