Does anyone feed their pup Halo dog food?
I researched many different foods and I liked the ingredients in this the best. Anyone have any experience with it?

rw-Working with Sully
Finally. LOL! I am really impressed with his attention. I had him out in the yard with RC because she knows how to free stack. As is typical he got in the way at first trying to get RC to play...but she held her focus (food involved after all). Finally I let him have some bait and it was like a gate...

Alternative to Iams Low Residue?
This is a tough question. Dakota is on Iams Low Residue right now which is crazy expensive, $37 for a 15 lb bag. I can't argue that it's not working though. She actually has real poop these days. She always seems to be hungry though. I wonder if there's something else out there that I can...

To much Calcium?
I admit Im pretty clueless about this. Can someone fill me in. How much Calcium is to much? And does this only apply to large breed puppies. Henry is a 6 month old Westie and I can not find the % of Calcium on his dog food. Should I not be as concerened since he is a smaller breed? And while we are at...

Once this box of dog food is done, Maze is going on home cooked! Eep.... I've got a surplus of meat already so that's no biggie. But I'm wondering how much veggies should she get. And how much food in a day.. Help!?

teaching a dog how to swim?
Pretty much, the topic title. Theres this wooded creek about 5 minutes away from my house and I've taken Tyson there twice. There's a small part of the creek that's deep enough for Tyson to swim in, if he knew how. When we go right now he'll only go into the parts of the water that are...

fish oil supplements
Benny has been very itchy recently, so I think it's time to add some fish oil to his dinner. I used to give it to Casey, but I'll admit - I haven't done it in a LONG time... I was using a human grade fish oil, and vit. e. which I'd get at a nutrition store. Last time I got the fish oil...

Interesting thing about Pet Botanics food roll
So, I was put-sing around the pet store and saw pet botanics food rolls. Thinking it may be another option to the natural balance food rolls (for treat trainnig), I checked out the ingredients on the itty bitty sample roll. The ingredients were great - beef liver, beef heart, so on and so forth. All...

How I prepare raw diet feeding for my dogs.
Granted not everything is out on the counter like this, as I take them out as I need them, but for the sake of this video, I took it all out so one could see what I am using. Only things missing in this video is the organ meat, and fish. The reason is as I go back and forth from chicken livers, hearts...

Where do you get your meat?
I'm at a loss. Right now I get my meat from the local grocery store and the butcher. I'm having a hard time finding parts. I can get the common stuff but not the stuff like hearts, brains, stuff like that. Suggestions??

ATT
Josie is going to take the ATT this weekend. Just wondering if you guys had any advice. One thing i'm concerned about- she will occasionally jump on a stranger if they speak to her in a high voice...dont know what the "friendly stranger" will do, but does anyone know if she'll automatically...

100 Questions (Dog Shows)
Hello! I am completely new to the forum! I have a 2 year old Mastiff (sp female), and a 14 week Rhodesian Ridgeback (male), who I intend to owner-handle in conformation. As I am fairly green to dog shows, I am taking show handling classes and have an excellent mentor. I have so many questions that I...

Solid Gold Flaxseed Oil for Sally?
Poor Sally is having some hardcore allergy issues lately. She's allergic to lots of stuff, including fish. I want to add some fatty acids to her diet but am afraid to add fish oil. I was thinking of adding Solid Gold Flaxseed Oil. Has anyone had experience with this supplement? Do I need to give...

I am soo bad!!!
I bought a box of N-R-G Salmon based dog food last week. And Maze just was not loving it like she did the trial bag. Today I realized why... It had expired June 30th! The warehouse had shipped a expired box. The petstore I shop at was more then willing to replace it and checked the shelves for any more...

Adding cereal to dog food
I'll be watching a dog Friday night and he is fed 1c of dry dog food twice a day with 1/2 c of (human) dry fiber cereal mixed in. I think they use a Kashi-type cereal. His owner said she adds it for the fiber... Anybody do this??

What I've Learned This Weekend At Agility
I always hope to bring something home from each trial that I attend, and this weekend was no different! 1. That Gaci is still showing more stress in the ring than I would like. Also, Gaci is more negatively affected by the heat than I first realized. In training situations, she is fabulous, even around...

Sooo sad
While on our weekend adventure of concert going/puppy picking upping we stopped on the way home at a dog bakery/supply store there. It was quite fantastic...lots of frozen raw at excellent prices. And, alas, we'd taken the cooler out of our trunk before leaving :( The food would have been squishy...
