Gaining weight and Cardiomyopathy

Maze has lost 2lbs since I first noticed the increase in her cough. Granted 2lbs isn't much but for those of you who have seen Maze, she really can't afford to loose any. Her hips and ribs stick out really bad.

Is there anything I can add to her food to get some weight on her? She's eating a cup of N-R-G Salmon and Oats a day. I'd give her more but that's just the amount she choose to eat....

Didn't you switch her food fairly recently, too? Maybe it's more carbs that she needs. A handful of baked sweet potato, or extra oatmeal, or rice?

Yeah. I switched her from kibble on to the dehydrated raw. And I'm just switching flavors from Chicken and Veggies (Grainless) to Salmon and Oats.

I would probably try a few extra carbs, for her. I'm guessing the raw is a LOT less carbs.

Oh yeah. Lol. Would rice help bulk her up a bit? Mom made some rice, cauliflower and broccoli mix for the dogs that I need to get used up.

It should. It's basically just carbs. If she'll take an extra meal, that will help a lot.

Maze is extremely picky and set in her ways.. *sigh* I can fill her bowl full to the brim and she'll only eat enough to be full.

However I will try adding more rice and such to her daily meal. She also gets table left overs every night.
