Two ?'s: occasional soft poop & UTI? (kpwlee)
Bugsy seems to be having intermittent soft poops, even a couple of cow pies which is very unusual for him. No change in food but we have been going to the lake several times a week. It seems like one day a week he is having them. Is it possible that it is a parasite? If so what else might I see? Could...

Green eye goop?
Max has had greenish colored eye goop coming out of his right eye for about 3 days now. It started out clear and I just thought it was a random eye goop, but then it kept happening. Now today he has had two in his other eye, both green. Is this an eye infection? I am planning on making a vet appt tomorrow...

Anyone who has worked at petsmart/petco as a groomer?
Kind of long story so bear with me! Ok, so I was walking through Petsmart with Maisie and one of the groomers came up to me and noticed her crazy (but of course, awesome ) dye job and asked me who dyed her and who grooms her and I told him that I did. I thought it was kind of sloppy, but I guess he thought...

What is this on his ears?
I didn't know what sub-category to put this in, so I hope it gets seen here. These bare spots popped up on Harry's ears a couple weeks ago. We thought they were just places where he'd scraped the hair off, but while I was away this weekend, BF noticed them getting bigger. They're now...

Opinions on these clippers
I am in the market for a set of clippers. Since I know nothing about clippers, I thought that someone with more experience than I could give me an opinion on these clippers. I would be using them to trim one fuzzy poodle/schnauzer mix, along with whisker/ear hair trims on Bevo, if that makes any difference...

Anybody tried it? I have a genious costume idea, and I'm wondering if the stuff colors well, and washes out like they say it does.

Is this something serious, or just a bump?
This just suddenly came up on the top of my girls paw. Anyone know what it might be? It is not a tick, possibly a skin tag?

Callie - Remedies for Spayed Female Leaking?
Almost sixteen year old Maggie shows her age in just one respect, and that's a return of the "leaking" that troubled her many years ago, that went away when I switched her off grains (going to raw and home prepared). I'd like to avoid another course of Proin. I actually have no idea...

Maxine's Biopsy Results
Osteosarcoma. We have an appointment next Tuesday with a local animal cancer clinic to discuss options. I honestly feel there is not much we will be able to do but discussing options does not hurt. Knowing now that bone is involved, and the location in her mouth, I feel any surgery would be WAY too radical...

Groomer Has It-season 2!
http://press.discovery.com/ekits/groomer-has-it-s2/ My friend/mentor Lisa Leady is a contestant, and I'm crazy excited about watching it! Whether it's a good thing for our industry or not is debatable, but I will be glued to the TV this season. Lisa is rockin' awesome! Jacob

Worms in poop!
Hi Everyone! This is my first post here. My fiance and I just "rescued" a 9 month old Cocker Spaniel, about 3 weeks ago. We have a 2-year old "mutt" also ;) . Yesterday our Cocker poo'd outside and there were white worms (alive!) in his poop! The people we got him from had his...

Bath time: In the tub or with the hose?
Is it better to bathe your dog with warm water inside or can they tolerate the cold water from the hose outside? I've tried buying hose attachments for my bathtub but cannot get the shower head off and it's so corroded on there (old shower) that I'm afraid I might break something. I also...

Help With Pancreatitis
Just to make life more fun, Aspen has been diagnosed with Pancreatitis. Does anyone have any advice for me? I mean besides "don't jump off that bridge". This is a test, right? Don't get me wrong. I'm venting a little here. I love my guys @ would do anything I can for them. I just...

You know...I really don't want to put any chemicals in my dog if I can help it. I HATE heartworm preventive because its really almost a pesticide....but use it anyway "just in case" he gets bit by a HW carrying mosquito... but I always have drawn the line when it comes to flea preventive...

I'm Scared
Yesterday I took Maxine and Teddi to the vet. I highly suspected Miss Teddster had another UTI and sure enough she does. We put her on antibiotics, my vet prescribed Cephalexin as you can get it free at Meijers! and we did a blood panel to be sure there is no reason for these to keep recurring. I took...

Ulcerated cornea
Kodi evidently gouged his eye on a branch or something in the yard. I took him to the vet as soon as I saw him rubbing the eye. He's on two kinds of drops, pain killers and wearing a cone. It's been three weeks and the cornea is not getting better so he will see an ophthalmologist tomorrow. My...

Ari's not finishing her food.
She has a vet visit Saturday, so I'll talk to them about this too and I'm not sure if I should be overly concerned (at least yet). Ari's healthy-skinny...always has been. Put another way, she can't afford to miss a meal or she'd drop weight fairly quickly (oh how I wish I had her...

Bug Off?
I have heard a lot about "Bug Off Garlic" supplement for dogs as an alternative to chemical flea/tick/insect treatments, especially since the waring about such products come out. Has anyone used this before?
