    Pastels for Pets

Anybody tried it? I have a genious costume idea, and I'm wondering if the stuff colors well, and washes out like they say it does.

Ooh, let me know if it works.  I've only tried kool-aid and manic panic.  I don't think I did the manic panic right, but the kool-aid worked well.

A friend of mine used Pet Edge brand pink on her Crested's furnishings, and it worked great! Hers is a HHL, and the pink was very vibrant, on her. It looked great.

I don't want anything that'll stay in for that long, because Ena does go to shows. I think I'm just going to order a bottle, and see how it goes.

Poor Chloe, :-D.  I'm so going to try that.  I really like the Magic Purple.

And you must take more Ena pictures if you color her hair (or even if you don't, lol)!

I'm saddened by my lack of a dog with white on its coat.Stick out tongue

I ordered a bottle of Monkey Kid Fuschia (because, hello, I had to!), and a bottle of Panther Cub Turquiose (for my GENIUS plan, MuahahahahaDevil). I can't wait to try them out! I'm going to be borrowing Cresteds to color, so be ready for some wild, colored Crested pics!

Did you try them out, Jennie?
    • Gold Top Dog

I haven't recieved them, yet, but I have test subjects lined up to play with their hairsBig Smile I'm borrowing a Crested or two that enjoys being groomed, from a friend of mine who breeds them. They'll try it, before I put it on Ena (who is actively being shown in rally and obedience).

    Pirate! You can do Pirate!!

While you're at it, you could groom him too ;) The groomer at work wants to get her hands on him SO badly, but she wants to shave him all the way down...no way!!!

WHY?!?!?!???!! He's got great hair! He's so scruffy and adorable.

And that mohawk COULD use some Panther Cub Turquoise! Poor Pirate, his toenails would match, too.

I know, right?! Really he needs to be hand-stripped, but I doubt he has the patience for that and I don't really care that much :) I just want her to clean up his feet and his boy-parts!

OMG Jennie, we could get him a rhinestone-bedazzled matching bandana, too...

    • Gold Top Dog

     He would look awesome!

I was thinking maybe a neaten up, and a clipper comb if he HAD to be shorter, but no shaving. He doesn't need to lose his hair. Stripping would look great, but why? LOL It takes forever, and most dogs really don't have the patience (if their name isn't Emma, who adores anything remotely related to brushing) to stand for it. Even show dogs are done in very short sessions (weekly).

I emailed the lady about this, but.... I followed the instructions, and it's sticky! The hair didn't fall naturally, at all. It's more like a hair gel that's tinted instead of a gel hair tint. Not terribly pleased, but I guess I can use it on mohawks, and the like.

    • Gold Top Dog
    MOHAWKS, eh? ;)
    • Gold Top Dog

It'd be great for that, but it costs a lot more than the colored hair gel you can get at Sally's or CVS or someplace like that. I think you'd do just as well with a $6.99 bottle as I did with my $19.99 bottle. Tongue Tied
